Trail write-ups for my dayhiking since 2010. Most of these were near my home in the San Gabriel Valley. However, I spent Fall 2011 living in Murray, Kentucky, so there's a large collection of hikes from Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area (KY and TN), and the drive between LA and KY. I also hike a lot in southern Nevada and southern Utah. Each hike used to be organized by year, but I ran out of pages. I should reorganize, but haven't, yet.

Williams Fire at Night -- Monday, September 3, 2012
I recently came across myown100hikes.blogspot.com whilst researching the Travel sector and would like to discuss the possibility of paying you to display an advertisement on the site.
We have a large customer base of clients prepared to pay to display discrete adverts, contextually matched to the content of the page on high quality sites like yours, and this can be a great way to generate an income without compromising your website.
Please email me back if you would be interested in finding out more and I will send you a follow-up email outlining the opportunity in more detail.
I look forward to hearing from you shortly.
Best wishes. Damien Cvetanovski damien@adbeans.com
Hey Skyhiker, how bad is this fire? I heard a little about it on the radio up here, and immediately thought of the Station Fire again, although I'm sure its not as bad.
Hey, Mark-- It's nothing compared to the Station Fire, although it was pretty smokey the first morning. Winds have been relatively calm. It's been somewhat humid, too. Somewhere around 4,000 acres burned, and about 70% contained. No Santa Ana winds in the forecast, so, all in all, things are looking pretty good.
